The victim, who had been residing at the establishment since her recent relocation from California, disclosed that she was subjected to confinement and strict control over her daily activities by Ying He. Investigations revealed the victim was coerced into performing sexual acts for customers. Refusing to comply was met with verbal abuse and restrictions imposed by He, effectively trapping her within the confines of the business.
Surveillance footage obtained by authorities depicted some concerning interactions within the parlor. In one instance, He was observed physically assaulting the victim after an altercation, prompting law enforcement to intervene promptly and place Ying He under arrest.
During the execution of a search warrant, authorities seized multiple cell phones, ledgers, and some incriminating items, including sex toys, inside the business. The severity of the charges against He could potentially lead to a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and/or a $40,000 fine if she is convicted.
