Tulare County Arrests Tied to Prostitution Operation

Tulare County, California — The Tulare County District Attorney’s Office announced the arrests of two individuals involved in an alleged prostitution operation on September 19, 2024.

The investigation began in May 2024 when a caller to the National Human Trafficking Hotline reported encountering a suspicious advertisement for a massage business on Facebook Marketplace while seeking legitimate services in Tulare County. 

Upon contacting the business, the caller realized it was fraudulent and promptly reported the incident. This information was forwarded to the Tulare County Human Trafficking Task Force, prompting a thorough investigation. 

Authorities utilized various investigative techniques, including search warrants for phone records and GPS data, collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies, including the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI.

The investigation concluded with simultaneous searches in Tulare and Fresno Counties, leading to the arrests of siblings Enrique Castro Reyes, 27, and Erika Castro Reyes, 30, on August 19, 2024. They face charges of felony pandering and pimping, with a preliminary hearing set for September 30, 2024.

Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward emphasized the importance of community awareness in combating human trafficking and applauded the public’s vigilance.
