Human Trafficking: CA Man Detained, Weapons Seized

Arroyo Grande, California – A 34-year-old man from Porterville, Henry Vincent Terronez, faces multiple charges following his arrest in San Luis Obispo County on Thursday, linked to a human trafficking investigation. Law enforcement apprehended Terronez as he reportedly planned to meet a minor for sexual activity.

Weeks of investigation by the Grover Beach Police Department culminated in the contact with Terronez in Arroyo Grande. During the arrest, officers discovered a loaded AR-15 rifle in his vehicle. The weapon was accompanied by a 60-round drum magazine and several 30-round magazines filled with armor-piercing ammunition.

Terronez was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of human trafficking involving a victim under 18, arranging and engaging in lewd acts with a minor, transmitting harmful material to a minor with sexual intent, carrying a concealed weapon, and pandering. His bail was set at $800,000.

The Arroyo Grande Police Department and the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office’s Investigation Bureau assisted in the case.
