Sexual Assault Arrest Reported on Aliso Creek Trail

Aliso Viejo, California – A reported sexual assault on the Aliso Creek Trail has led to the arrest of a Laguna Hills man, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Suspect Arrested After Reported Assault on Aliso Creek Trail

Deputies responded to a possible assault call shortly before 6 p.m. on Monday, June 22, along the Aliso Creek Trail in Aliso Viejo. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the woman reported that a man approached her from behind, grabbed her, pulled her, and touched her thighs and buttocks. 

Authorities said deputies later located the suspect, and the victim identified him. The man, described as a 30-year-old Laguna Hills resident, was arrested and booked into Orange County Jail on July 2. 

Officials said he faces sexual battery and kidnapping charges. Investigators are asking anyone with additional information to contact the sheriff’s department.

A sexual assault report may result in criminal charges and potential civil claims. In California, sexual battery may be charged under Penal Code Section 243.4, and kidnapping may fall under Penal Code Section 207 if force or fear was used to move or detain someone.
