South SF Brothel Raid Rescues Human Trafficking Survivors

San Francisco, California — A 65-year-old woman from Southern California was arrested for allegedly operating a brothel in an apartment in downtown South San Francisco. The arrest resulted from a detailed investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Unit of the South San Francisco Police Department.

Authorities conducted weeks of surveillance before confirming reports of illegal activity at the location. Upon serving a search warrant, detectives discovered two individuals suspected of purchasing sex and two human trafficking survivors, who were immediately provided with support and services.

The suspect, a resident of Rowland Heights in Los Angeles County, was found inside the apartment. According to police, she played a key role in managing the brothel and profiting from its operations. In addition to making the arrest, investigators also seized approximately $10,000 in cash believed to be connected to the illegal activities.
