Los Angeles, California – Federal authorities recently announced the dismantling of an alleged sex trafficking ring operating across several Southern California communities. Prosecutors allege the suspects targeted vulnerable individuals, including a minor, through manipulation, coercion, threats, and violence.
Southern California Federal Investigation Into Alleged Sex Trafficking Ring
Federal prosecutors allege three people ran a sex trafficking ring involving an adult and a minor across San Bernardino, Ontario, Hollywood, and Pomona. The suspects allegedly recruited victims with false promises, controlled their movements, isolated them, and took their earnings.
According to investigators, one minor victim was allegedly pressured into commercial sex activity after being taken to a motel in Ontario. Prosecutors also allege the adult victim was confined at an Airbnb, prevented from contacting family, and financially exploited.
After the adult victim escaped, authorities say the harassment escalated to threats on social media. The situation turned violent when prosecutors allege that a suspect tracked the victim to Pomona and stabbed her, causing her to need hospital care. Federal arrests occurred on May 15, 2026, followed by court appearances in Los Angeles.
California Laws Surrounding Sex Trafficking Cases

- Assault-related injuries
- Emotional trauma and psychological harm
