Davis, California – In a disturbing incident reported on October 4, 2023, the UC Davis Police Department received information from the Santa Rosa Police Department regarding a potential sexual assault on UC Davis campus that might have occurred several days prior.
The report stated that the incident happened on September 28, 2023, at approximately 7:30 PM, the victim was walking along the bike path between Kleiber Hall Drive and Sprocket Bikeway when she was confronted by the suspect.
The assailant, described as a male adult with a darker complexion, approximately 5-11 tall, short dark hair, and dressed in a dark hoodie sweatshirt and pants, forcibly pulled the victim into the bushes near Mann Laboratory. The victim was thrown to the ground and subjected to a sexual assault before the suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
As of now, this crime remains unsolved, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this incident or similar cases to contact the UCDPD at 530-754-COPS (2677).
