Arrest Made in San Jose Human Trafficking Investigation

San Jose, California — A 44-year-old man from Fremont has been arrested by the San Jose Police Department (SJPD) for allegedly operating a residential brothel. The arrest follows a month-long investigation by the department’s Human Trafficking Task Force.

Zhen Wang was detained on December 20, 2024, after officers executed a search warrant at a residence on the 80 block of South 24th Street. During the operation, two adult women who were survivors of human trafficking were rescued and provided with support services. Authorities also seized approximately $10,000 in cash.

Wang faces charges of pimping and pandering and has been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. The investigation involved collaboration between the SJPD Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, SJPD Patrol Officers, the Diplomatic Security Service of the U.S. Department of State, and the Santa Clara County Law Enforcement Investigating Human Trafficking Task Force.
