San Jose, California — Two men were arrested last month for allegedly engaging in sex trafficking involving two 16-year-old girls at a South San Jose hotel, according to a statement released Monday by the San Jose Police Department.
Officers responded to a reported assault at a hotel located on Monterey Road near Senter Road and Skyway Drive. Authorities say the suspects had driven the teens to the hotel, where one of the men informed a victim that she would “work for him” and “make him money.”
When the victim tried to flee, the suspect reportedly struck her. She sustained minor injuries but declined medical care at the scene.
Key developments include:
- The department’s Human Trafficking Task Force took over the investigation.
- The suspects were identified as Peter Supnet and Edwin Dickerson III.
- Detectives found evidence indicating both men attempted to exploit the teens sexually.
- Both suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges related to human trafficking of minors.
- The victims were offered immediate support services.
