Milwaukee Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Child Sex Trafficking

A Milwaukee man, Gerald H. Paul-Gibson, has been handed a 10-year prison sentence without parole by U.S. District Judge Greg Kays for engaging in the sex trafficking of a minor.

Paul-Gibson will be subject to 10 years of supervised release following his incarceration. The 33-year-old pleaded guilty on March 9, 2022, to the charges, admitting his involvement in the recruitment, transportation, and advertising of a 15-year-old victim for prostitution.

The arrest occurred during a human trafficking sting conducted by the Kansas City Police Department on April 24, 2019, at a local hotel. Initially apprehended for soliciting prostitution, the officers identified the victim as a minor. She disclosed her identity using her high school email address.

Investigators later discovered that the victim had encountered Paul-Gibson in Milwaukee, after which he brought her to Kansas City. The arrest ensued when law enforcement observed Paul-Gibson parked outside the hotel.

During the investigation of the child sex trafficking case, a thorough examination of Paul-Gibson’s cell phone uncovered many incriminating text messages, providing substantial evidence of his involvement in recruiting women for prostitution.
